Lucifer Season 5 is going to end in style
Lucifer’s co-showrunner Joe Henderson wrote a bittersweet message to fans that the crew has started performing on the ultimate episode of the favored series.

In a tweet, Henderson wrote: “Today we started breaking the ultimate episode of Lucifer. Still, many works to try to, but holy shit, we are getting to end this show a la mode .”

The final season on Netflix will include 16 episodes, with the primary eight scheduled to be dropped this spring.

Henderson has said he’s Thankful that Netflix Saved Lucifer after Fox canceled the show, And They let The Show End The Way He Deserve.
He shared that other showrunners have approached him and admitted that they were “jealous of truly knowing the show’s getting to end.”

Most can't end the show in your own way. You don’t get an opportunity to truly know  what you’re telling the top, and wrap those stories to a satisfying conclusion. in order that I’m thrilled about. It’s obviously bittersweet, but a golden opportunity.”

Had Netflix not picked up the series it might have ended on FOX with a cliffhanger at the top of Season 3.

But with the top of the show in view, some fans are hoping another campaign could reserve it.

Co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich told fans last summer “that a fight won’t change things,” which the cast was grateful to Netflix for the prospect to finish the series on their own terms.

But there's still a web petition to force Netflix into the 6th season. Nearly 110,000 Lucifans have signed it.

But the truth is, consistent with Henderson, production has started on the ultimate episode.

“Because we all know where we’re ending, the fans are getting to get the ending they deserve, and that I couldn't be more thrilled that,” said Henderson.
